The American Mookee Association is a club made up of dedicated individuals devoted to the promotion and improvement of the breed. The membership is a friendly group willing to help new and established breeders improve the birds that they show through advise, knowledge, support, and providing better birds to the fancier wishing to improve their stock.
The Mookee is a very prolific breeder that is a good parent that will raise many young during the breeding season. The charming markings and proud stance are also a great challenge to the established breeder. The Mookee is available in most every color imaginable. The Standard of colors list most of the colors available. New colors are being added each year.
The AMA host shows through out the USA at such shows as the National Young Bird Show in Louisville, KY, The NPA Grand National Show, and District meets. Informative bulletins are published quarterly. Club bands are available to members from the Secretary/Treasurer.
